Experience a luxury horsey holiday at our home right on the edge of Thetford Forest. Our Shepherd’s Huts have everything you need for a memorable stay including twin beds, kitchenette and ensuite for your comfort. Light up the fire pit or snuggle under a blanket watching the stars. Our huts are fully independent of each other, mirroring the same set up for each side.
Tucked away from the main house, you’ll be looking out directly onto the horse paddocks where you can watch your horses graze all day long. The riding is literally a step across from the top of the main drive & into 47,000 acres of forest. Our paddocks are post and rail with electric and surrounded by trees and hedges for plenty of natural shelter.
For your horses, a 24ft x 12ft field shelter with rubber matting and a concrete corral with slip rails which can all be divided. A tackroom with saddle racks, bridle hooks, rug rack, water tap, hay & feed bins are all ready for your stay. The paddocks are just under 2 acres on each side of the driveway. Each side can be split into 2 so that your horses can either be neighbours or in together.
Well behaved dogs are welcome from Spring 2024 in our latest hut. Details to be confirmed.
As well as staying on the doorstep of Thetford Forest, you are literally a 5 minute walk from the village of Mundford which has a cafe, pub, fish & chip shop, shabby chic shop and a village stores with butchers, post office and much more.
We are also just a short hack to Lynford Hall where you can ride along the lake, ride through the arboretum to The Shepherds Baa (outdoor cafe) and Lynford Water where you can paddle with your horses all year round.
